About us

Cyber-physical systems comprise interacting digital, analog, physical, and human components engineered for function through integrated physics and logic. Today, a precursor generation of cyber-physical systems can be found in areas like aerospace, automotive, chemical processes, civil infrastructure, energy, healthcare, transportation, entertainment, and digitalization of customer appliances. Furthermore, industry 4.0, a subset of the fourth industrial revolution , focuses on automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies and processes which tightly relates to cyber-physical systems (CPS). “Industry 4.0″ factories have machines which are augmented with wireless connectivity and sensors, connected to a system that can visualise the entire production line and make decisions on its own. Other phrases that you might hear when discussing cyber-physical systems technologies include Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Internet, Smart Cities, “Smart” Anything (e.g., Cars, Buildings, Homes, Manufacturing, Hospitals, Appliances).

Cyber-Physical Systems Society of Iran was established with the aim to facilitate the collaboration among experts/students of different fields related to the different facets of the cyber-physical systems. This collaboration includes holding specialized events like conferences, workshops, courses, supporting student theses, publication of papers, and etc.
